Architecture

Interior architectural design of approximately 415 m2 in the Arcos Bosques’ building, Mexico City.

After spending a number of years in the same technologically outdated offices, located in a busy urban hub of Mexico City, BP Amoco decided to not only change location but to also establish a fresh new image consisting of simple lines and an innovative new work policy.

We work with them in the creation of a multipurpose space called the “Think Tank” – an area for informal gathering, client meetings and team work.

Despite the offices being in a reduced space and their European style open office requirements, distinct areas were established to achieve privacy.

The space was modeled with wood, marble and glass elements in a collage style, with the wall colors, shapes and planes folding into “L” shapes. This was inspired by the European art movement that existed in the 1920’s.

Among the most important design elements of this project were a suspended onyx mobile in the Think Tank, the doorway and the way in which doors, ceiling soffits, and other functional elements were combined to become part of a spatial composition.
