Architecture

Interior architectural design of approximately 1,300m2, in the Torre Omega building, Mexico City.

This project undertook the design of new bank offices in Pent- house #2, the adaptation of existing space in Penthouse #1, and the design of an interior staircase. The design is distinguished by its use of diverse elements to give dynamism and light to the space; with a particular focus on the glass and maple walls which form the closed spaces, by utilizing curves, planes and volumes that conduct and subdivide the offices. Wood adds a special touch, covering support areas, the stairs, air conditioning shafts and the curved wall. In contrast to this, glass serves to provide the important element of privacy required by a bank, while still allowing light to pass through.

It was a challenge to design and implement the concept of a “Chinese wall” between three of the bank’s divisions and the interconnections between the client areas, reception and office entrances; while taking into account the use of emerald glass that allowed the passage of light without sacrificing privacy in any one of the areas.

Given our successful relationship with the client, we have continued with further remodeling, resulting from changes in the bank’s needs, with the most recent project occurring at the beginning of this year.
