Our primary objective was to create elements that convey a corporate image and at the same function as points of orientation in the space characterized by its irregular layout.
To achieve this, wood walls were designed in such a manner that they were independent of the windows resulting in varying transparencies and layers.
These elements define the most important areas of circulation and lead toward the three distinct areas of client services, administration and operations.
The horizontality of the space is emphasized to compensate for the low vertical height that exists between the floors. Important design elements were used throughout the project to de-emphasize the low ceilings and create the impression of greater vertical space.
The wood walls and glazing are scribed with horizontal lines very close to each other to change the perception of the real scale of the space.
The doors were designed in such a manner that they appear to “float” on the glass. The ceilings were designed to allow for a 5cm relief shadow to create a feeling of greater space and height.
